FlashBallad Art

HOW TO COMMISSION ME

  1. First, get your character references together. Please have at least a collection of aesthetics and images or a detailed written description of your character(s) before considering a commission.

  2. Second, have at least a vague idea of what kind of pose you'd like to get. That, or be willing to give me artistic liberty on posing.

  3. Finally, send me an email at [email protected] or send me a DM request on Bluesky to get in contact with me. Please also read and agree to my Terms of service. I will walk you through the rest of the process when I get in touch with you!

Unless I am otherwise indisposed, I will almost always respond within a few hours of your request going through, please be prepared.

Terms of Service

Please read through the sections below carefully for terms of service regarding commission sales, YCH sales, and adoptable sales before you decide to purchase.

General

All depicted characters MUST be the age of 18 or older. There are no exceptions. All prices are listed as per character in an image. If an image has two characters in it, multiply the base price by two, and so on and so forth. You are not permitted to use my art in commercial ways, nor are you permitted to profit off of my work. If you are looking for commercial work from me, please email me privately to discuss pricing.I DO take commissions for "SPICY" work. Please note that these pieces most likely may take longer due to the fact that I can only work on them off-stream. I do most of my commissioned work while livestreaming, hence the extra wait. You may not remove my signature from the image should the piece contain it.I reserve the right to reject or refund commissions and commission requests due to time constraints, personal reasons, my own lack of skill, et cetera.I WILL take detailed descriptions of characters in writing paired with robust moodboards if no visual references are available. You may incur an additional fee due to the design aspect of a lack of references. Please include general palettes if you are unsure of how to describe certain colors.References MUST be clear and visible, with good lighting and colors that are accurate to the character. Screenshots from games are fine as long as they are on a plain background and have neutral lighting and a clear back and front of the character. I have the right to refuse a commission based on poor references. Images created from Picrew.me or similar sites are also fine as long as their colors are accurate and I feel I am able to work them into the piece. Regarding design choices and details such as tattoos, armor, and props, I will accept and encourage Pinterest boards and aesthetic collections to help me get a better feel of how you would like your character to look. My lines of communication are open, and I would rather have more input from you rather than less.

Payments

Payment plans are available. Send me an email or message to inquire.Payments are done exclusively through VGen services OR PayPal invoice. I leave this up to customer preference. Niche requests that do not fit within present VGen services must be paid via PayPal invoice.

Revisions

All major edits to posing and structure must be done and requested while the piece is still in the concept sketch phase. This phase is the "messy" sketch before it gets cleaned and drawn over with lineart. It's also the best place to make major changes. Edits to the structure of a piece after lineart has been completed will incur fees.Color editing in all pieces save for rendered paintings are viable until I have moved on to shading. You may not alter or edit anything major once your commission is finished. You may edit the color balances minutely to suit your taste, and you may change the background, if it is simple or transparent.

Deadlines and Delivery

My turn around time varies depending on the kind of piece you commission and where you are on my current waitlist. A sketch should take no longer than 3 weeks whereas a painting may take up to 3 months to complete due to the size of the project and the amount of hours. If there are three slots ahead of yours on my waitlist it will take longer to get to you than if I had no one else on the waitlist. In these terms I will always inform you of delays via your preferred method of communication. If you need a rush put on to your order, please input the date at the time of your request submission so the proper rush order fees may be put in immediately. If you need to change this date for whatever reason, please know that further fees may be applied.

Use

No client will be permitted, under any circumstances, to use any part of their commissioned piece for non fungible tokens (NFT). Using the artwork made by me for NFT or cryptocurrency use will result in legal action being taken against you and the purchaser.By no means are you permitted to profit from a personal commissioned piece. Please email me for commercial use rights and pricing. No client or partner/associate or a client may use any art made by my hand, paid for personal use or commercially licensed, to train an AI or program of any kind. This includes training an AI to replicate my art style. Should the client decide to change or adjust the commissioned woks through the use of machine learning or derived technologies, or create derivatives of the commissioned work through the use of machine learning, I will consider this an automatic purchase of exclusive rights and charge the standard commercial fee per piece. Please inquire about this fee in advance if you plan on using this technology.

Intellectual Property (IP) Rights

When commissioning me for character design or a VTuber model, you must credit me somewhere in your bio or credits page. If you wish to forego crediting, you may purchase full IP rights for an additional fee.I reserve the right to use the commissioned piece as examples in my portfolio and future commission showcases.

Refunds

In all cases, I have the right to reject or refund a commission at any given time. If I choose to terminate a commission after the client has already paid, a refund will be issued in full.If the client wishes to cancel a commission after it has already been started, no refund will be issued. After work has begun, you cannot reverse the sale.

Communication

I prefer communication via Discord or direct message on VGen or Bsky.Upon completion of either a down payment or full payment you are placed upon my waitlist, which is always publicly viewable on Trello. If you need me to use a pseudonym for secrecy, please let me know immediately. Please do not check in every other day for a WIP, especially if there are people in the queue ahead of you. For the best way to see where your commission is at, please refer to my Trello work queue. I will send WIPs at the following stages of your piece:
Base posing/concept sketch
Detailed concept sketch
Lineart (if applicable)

Finished and watermarked piece before post-processing
